The Lethbridge Photography Club is a long time member of the Allied Arts Council. We meet at 6:30 pm the third Thursday of every month from September to May at the Lethbridge Public Library theatre gallery. Membership is $30 per person and $20 for students and includes a monthly newsletter. The executive committee meets once a month, and plans educational segments, field trips and slide shows for the general membership. We hold workshops which offer everyone the chance to increase their knowledge of photography. Whether you shoot digital or film, there is something for everyone.
Members are encouraged to challenge themselves in creating an image that fits the monthly theme (listed below). Then on meeting night, bring us your best shot. It is such a learning experience to see how everyone interprets the theme, and transfers that to an image. Everyone is encouraged to bring in a separate image, on any subject, that you would like to offer for critiquing by club members. Critiques are a positive and constructive element of our meetings and to photographer development.
There is always plenty of opportunity to show and to see some great photography. We all learn so much from others, and from the open discussions that occur before, during and after each meeting. We hope you will join us!
